where to shed hunt with kid
« on: March 27, 2010, 02:43:05 PM »
Hey all,

I am new to the forum and looking for information in where to hunt for some sheds with my son. I live in the seattle area and have a cabin on the american forks river. I have not done any shed hunting there, but have seen nice bulls around the area. any advice or help is appricated.

Thanks

Any where you are seeing bulls right should have sheds they are shedding right about now.  Just get out and put some miles on.  Good Luck
If it aint broke, dont fix it.

Call Oak Creek wildlife. If I remember right, they have a program for kids.
Gathering is easy. Hunting is a challenge.

Thanks for some ideas... If I read right, oak creek opens may 1st but is pretty busy with hunters. I have never hunted that area during rifle season just the little naches area. It sounds like a good place to take my son though to have a shot at finding his first shed.

anymore ideas or advice are welcome. i bought a beautiful 5 point bull shed at a gun show and the kid is now itching to get out and find his own.

thanks guys!
