A friend has two. One 20 and one 28 gauge. Very light and I think well-built shotgun. I shot his quite a few times.
Franchi has a decent reputation. Probably close to the same quality as a Browning of Beretta O/U.
Not nearly as many manufactured though.  I was going to pick one up last year; just a little concerned not as popular as the Browning, Rugers, Beretta's O/Us. If had an issue was not sure if it would be able to be repaired in a timely manner.

Thinking of buying one?

Pretty much just did.  Have it tied up, just need to see it when it comes in and fork over the money.  It's a 28 gauge (my favorite gauge by the way), with choke tubes and 26 inch barrels, English stock, a plus for me and 5 1/2 lbs.  A 98-99% condition gun.  Price was right.

28 Gauge is great.  I just wish it had 3" loadings too.  I think it would be more versatile.

I had one in 12. they are under priced for whatyou get IMO. they are beyond light and quick handling and have nice meal, wood and fair fit on the wood to metal. the case is a nice kicker. I flopped mine for a bss, but would still have it if the deal I scored was not so good,

enjoy!

Like the English stock. They are nice looking guns. Enjoy it. 28 gauge is my favorite for quail.
