I am ready for some bass fishing
« on: April 02, 2010, 08:32:41 PM »
All 16 rods are spooled up, All tackle accounted for. Just put the new stuff away. I am ready all except a baby sitter!!!!

I think I have enough gear to at least catch a perch this year...

Anyone wanting to go out and try it let me know.

I had to inventory everything, I have quite a bit more, the insurance wanted proof that I had 15000.00 worth of tackle before they would up my coverage. So I sent them all those pictures plus about 25 more. They upped my coverage the next day.

This is one of the best times for slow rolling spinner baits, crankbaits. I love this time of the year so I don't have to throw plastics.

Looks like my old gear pile when I was still tournament fishing.  Now I have practically nothing.  I have to ask, are you the one that I see pulling through Yelm with a two toned blue Skeeter?

I maybe, does it have silver in it also? I usually pull it with a gold F250 Diesel.

It has been a while but that sounds like the one.  I have a black/silver/red 200 DX Skeeter that I pull with a red and silver F-350 Crew cab.  I have passed you in town before.  I need to get back into bass fishing, it has been a while since I took it seriously.

We need to get out there then, let me know when you are planning to go out and will see if we can link up.

After carefully looking thru your pictures.  I didn't see one very useful lure.  You are missing a Split Tail Sweet Beaver.   :chuckle:

LMAO, last picture back two rows, all beavers.  Nothing like throwing a good beaver around in just the right color out there.

nice collection, its good to know I'm not the only one with a bit of a collection. Most of my friends and family can't figure out why I always take a bunch of rods with me...

Bass fishing for me is like duck hunting. One of my favorite parts about duck hunting is the decoys. One of my favorite parts about bass fishing... the lure collection.

In the colder water I have the best luck fishen wacky style with a tailess worm, that's just me though.

Joevon - yes fished Riffe quite a bit caught some very nice smallies out of there. I have three or four places that I like to hit when I am fishing it.

wacky rigging is one of the ways I hit them also, but like said this time of year it is hard to get a spinner bait or a crank bait rod out of my hand.

I'm sure glad I'm a bait fisher. A hand full of good bait could save you so much money in lures. Maybe I'll shoot you a jar of eggs and you could leave all but 2 rods and some hooks at home. :chuckle:

It looks like yer all set to have some fun when them boney fish get going.

:yike:  That's a lot of gear.  I don't have nearly that much.  All my stuff fits (barely) in a large tackle bag.  You know I'm down whenever you get over this way.

Well let's just say I used to get out a heck of a lot, then SJ came along and she has occupied me for the last two summers. but she is old enough now that I can get back out and start doing some fishing. So hopefully will be out a lot this year.

I plan on going and spending a month on Lake Champlain also and just fishing!!!!!!!
