Getting Ready for Spring Bear
« on: April 12, 2010, 01:14:46 PM »
My daughter notifiied me that if I get anywhere near a bear that I will be needin' a "BIG STICK". Of course that just cracks me up with the way she asserted her remarks in a serious tone. I showed her the .44 mag and she was satisfied it would work. Can't wait until she's old enough. Next year I am going to either build or get her a longbow. When she turns 5 I will see about letting her shoot a 10/22. She knows the difference between the black bear and the grizzly bear too.

Anyway got my big stick ready. Looking to make some bows with a bunch of kids ond wednesday and then head over to the DNR later that day for the keys.  Then on saturday morning I should be out and about. If I see you out there don't hesitate to be friendly.

Good luck all.

I will also be out on Friday with a .44 for backup...hopefully no turkeys decide to charge me...they will be promptly taught a lesson.

I'll be out Thursday,  and then over to Moses Lake for the TBW 3D shoot this weekend.  Then I'll be out a lot after that!  If you see a White GMC stop and say hey....
