MT ram
« on: May 13, 2008, 01:56:48 PM »
This was taken in the Missouri Breaks.

Just got these in an email thought you guys might like to see them

What a hog !!!!! That first picture of the back side of the horns, you can see an interesting bulge. John Lewton is very knowledgeable and experienced on Montana Sheep. The scorer had to dig his score sheet out of the safe to compare, "He greened 40"R 39'L with 15 4/8" base 15 2/8 X 15 0/8 X 12" thirds witch will put him close to 195 green. The scorer has only been on one ram kill where the 3rd qtr was 12" and at the tip where he was broomed was over 8" around! This ram was also the oldest Ram kill the scorer has ever seen in the Breaks estimated to be 11 to 12 years old".

The official score is Length - 40"2/8 R, 38" 2/8 L, Bases - 16" 2/8 R,
16"1/8 L, First Quarter- 15" 4/8 R, 15"4/8 L, Second Quarter - 13"4/8 R,
13"5/8 L, Third - 9" R, 9" 2/8L. The circumference at the Second and Third Quarter is very impressive.

If you cant fix it with a hammer you got an electrical problem

what a giant ram.
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
