Why no ML season in 667?
«

Once again there is no muzzleloader season for elk in 667. Can anyone give me a logical reason why? I also notice that there are other units that are treated the same way. They have archery general Elk as well as modern rifle elk but no ML. What kind of reasoning is going on here? I am not trying to complain, just can't see any logical argument or justification.

It is open for late muzzleloader. There are a lot more GMU's that are NOT open for muzzleloader than GMU's that are. It's not like 667 is the only exception. I imagine they want to let the modern firearm hunters have some areas to hunt where the muzzleloaders don't get first crack at the elk.

Oh yes, you are right, it is. I only remembered it being open late, as there are much better units to hunt in the early season.
