« on: April 15, 2010, 01:17:23 PM »
SORRY,  MAYBE A STUPID QUESTION,  BUT I COULDN'T FIND IT IN THE REGS.  IS THERE A HUNTING SEASON FOR SQUIRRELS?  REGULAR GRAY SQUIRELLS, OR WHATEVER KIND WE HAVE HERE THAT CLIMB TREES AND END UP AS RODKILL ALL THE TIME.  I FOUND A LITTLE PLACE WHERE THERE IS A $H!T LOAD OF THEM,  AND ITS A SHAME THAT THERE ARE ALOT OF THEM LAYING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AS ROADKILL ISNTEAD OF HAVING A .22 IN THEM AND ANDING UP AS A HAT OR SOMETHING,   WELL,,  IS THERE ANY SEASON, LIMIT, REGULATONS ON THESE GUYS?

some squirrels are not legal to shoot and you will get your ass in a sling or worse :chuckle: if you get caught unless it is a sage rat or a digger i don't shoot them. i am pretty sure the greys and pines are not legal or at least were i live.

OK,  THANKS,  BY THE INFO ON THE OTHER THREAD,  I CAN SHOOT THESE, AND THERE IS NO LIMIT.  (CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG)   THE SQUIRRELS I'M TALKING ABOUT ARE EASTERN GRAY SQURELS,  SO I HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.   :IBCOOL:

Yep as long as they are Easterns you are OK.  Just have to make sure you are following any firearm restrictions as most of these are in cities and neighborhoods.
