Nice, looks like a kill from this morning huh, cool are you going to skin it for a full body mount, or just want the pelt?

Watch that BLOOD Boneaddict! Wash that stuff out because it will cause the hair in that area to slipp faster. Denatured alcohol on the ears will help prevent the ears from slipping. Thaw critters on a towel. Keeps them from thawing in a puddle of blood/body fluids/water.

The fox is skinned for a full mount. Slit him down teh back from the back of the head to tail and skinned him out. I managed to strip the tail out without incidence. Thats a new one for me. I stuck the end of it in a vice and took a tail stripping tool and pulled as hard as I could. I was trying to decide to do dry preservative or tan him. I salted him up real well, and headed for the sportsman show. I got back and stuck him in the pickle. He will be mounted up another day. I airbrushed the moose and am happy how that turned out. I also worked on my ear on that deer, and managed to make them TOO pink. Took the airbrush and blended it with some of that white flesh. I'll let it sit for awhile and see what I think.

I'm guessing Ferry or Stevens Co?

Interesting. Never really would have thought of that as fox country.
He is out of the pickle, neutralized and now cooking in the Mckenzie tan.

Cooking in the McKAenzie Tan? The McKenzie Tan is a brush on tan! How do you have it in the tan?

You brush it on, fold it up and let it cook. Pretty simple.

By the time you get inside the tail, the legs and everywhere else, you and the fox are soaking in it.
Little more difficult than the average deer cape. I screwd up a ear, stuck my thumb through it. I was going to do bondo. I'm not sure sewing would do the trick...thinking super glueing it.VERY CAREFULLY

I wouldn't super glue. I'd use zap-a-gap! Zap-a-Gap won't crystalize when it hits water and turn white. Clean the area with denatured alcohol. The super glue/zap a gap won't stick well to the oily skin. Very Careful! If you get it in the hair on the ear you screwed. I would only super glue 1/8 of an inch just enough to seal the ear for the bondo.
