I'd put in for pine mountain out of those three. The hanford area tags are a real gamble becasue the elk move around a lot out there and even when the elk are on the property the big bulls usually go to the guys with money.

Do you mean the pine mountain deer hunt? If so that would also be worth putting in for IMO. I wouldn't expect to kill a monster, but I think you could get a decent buck up there.

I wouldnt guess you'd have to pay other than buying your tag and permit application.  :dunno:

Yea, sounds a little Flim-Flam.  Wish someone had some real experience but with 1 or 2 drawn a year thats tough to come by.  Too bad the WDFW doesn't provide more info - dream on.

Just my personal opinion.... I would never apply for a tag where you have to depend on someone else to set up your hunt...  :twocents:

FYI, although it is not footnoted as such the Dungeness hunt is shotgun only.  10 or 12 gauge, slugs only.
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

It is a gamble that might be worth taking though, hanford has some of the biggest bulls in our state if not the biggest and if they walk onto the hunting property your kid might get a shot at one. I myself want to be able to plan my daughters hunt and not wait for a phone call.
