good hunting trip.
« on: April 30, 2010, 11:48:05 AM »
I received this email from a friend of mine. It was the person he took outs first turkey.

I took my friend from Salem out last week, the one with cancer. Sat him in a camo lawn chair and built a blind around him. Wouldn't you know 3 jake's came in from behind us so as he was trying to turn and get in position the chair tipped over and he fell out of
the chair. The birds were far enough away that it didn't spoke them and kept
coming so he got to shoot a jake. He was like a little kid he was so excited, it was so neat to see. He health is worse off this year but plans to come back next year if he is still with us.

That is just plain awesome!!!!!!!!!!  Makes me proud to be a sportsman!
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Last year my friend took him out for one day. He missed a gobbler because of the awkward position he had the bird come in from. After one day of hunting he was too exhausted last year, to hunt a second day.  The land owner does not allow vehicles to drive on his place. He has made a exception in this case.

This hunter had a turkey hunt on his bucket list.  He is paying the nonresident price for every thing.

I know my friend is enjoying these hunts very much.

I love the part about the birds coming in from behind and him tipping over in the chair...it's little stuff like that that make for great memories. Your friend's a winner.
