Gorgeous shots, as always. :)
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

I have a shed nearly identical from his right side...but I'm assuming he doesn't hang out in New Mexico.

Love those dark chocolate antlers.  I wonder what he'll look like this fall?

I spotted him at about 400 yards.  He was with another buck and they were tangling.  They were with about 20 does.  I closed the gap and came up RIGHT WHERE they should be, NOTHING, but 20 unsuspecting does.   I couldn't believe it.  Then I catch them chasing each other south of me another 500 or so yards away.  I gave pursuit to cut them off.  GOT around them, and the sun came out under the cloud bank.   I waited and waited for the deer to show up as this was the general direction they were headed.  Pretty soon this one did show up. This is full frame so should be at about 30 yards or so.  He had to walk around me and you can see there isn't a lot of cover.  He just skirted me and headed towards whatever had his attention.   I need to confirm if he was even the same deer I had seen that was about to fight.  I should dig up those pics.

I believe this is our boy to the right.   A bigger buck came in and they postured A LOT and a scuffle ensued while I closed for the pic.  I picked him up a mile away or more.  The buck got on his case and would not leave.  I'm not sure if they got on a doe or what....
You can see how light changes the picture.

Great looking buck.  Do those knobs on the tips of his antlers have a name?  I have seen that a few times in pictures is it very common?

I wouldnt know which one to shoot...the one on the left looks like a bigger body and the one on the right has some character...either way, its a great photo!

I think i would come down to the spread of the one on the left...  Love that pic.
