We were debating which direction to mount the rear sight... I'm guessing it's screws to the right as you look down the barrel... I'm really new at this.

Ya that looks better to me, Page 5 on this section has a pic of the williams version I like. The last pic of the tru glow is that with the front hood Off?
The front hood is not removable on mine. Mark

Do I have to shim this thing I dont like the idea of shims any suggetions thanks for any help!!   Happy fathers day to all dads!!!!!!!!! ;)

yes you want the back sight were the stock sight was. i think the kit came with a little black shim in the package for that reason i have not had to use it but if memory serves right the kit came with some just incase it did not fit tight.

Yes you need a solid fit to the barrel, if you shim it make sure the shim is made of Solid material that wont shrink in cold weather or expand in heat. After machining coat the open alloy with a clear sealer or some other type of thin coating to keep it from oxidizing as moisture will get under it.

I would remove the bore butter and apply like you said clear nail polish or even a good coating of wax. Just need something to keep out the moisture. The dowel trick works real good to reshape sites.
