Bonnieville springers
« on: May 16, 2010, 08:59:52 AM »
There was an article in todays paper about springers at bonnieville and about the indians commercial fishing them with poles. They are right below the dam off the rocks and have been catching  lots of salmon. I have a friend who buys there and one person had eighty fish one day they have been using a lot of tuna balls for bait.. It sounded like the sea lions were giving them problems taking fish off there lines. They have multiple poles out .

This has been going on for at least 2 years that I know of.

Wish we could get atleast a 1 week season to fish it fron the boats right now. It would be a blood bath!!!

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook twice?
