Muzzleloader elk for you guessed it -- Toutle. I have the E.L.K. Royal Bugle hanging on my door and when my wife is running errands, I practice. I have to close all of the windows though.

almost all points for me. The muzzleloaders get screwed in this state. Especially for elk. Maybe one day that will change  :bash:

It may have something to do with much of the elk habitat here is much closer to sea level than in MT or CO. Places like the South Rainier GMU average 3000+ feet in altitude while MT&CO are closer to 6000 feet. The elk herds here are much smaller than MT&CO and much more concentrated during bugling season. Just my :twocents:

Dayton archery and Dayton Muzzie for Q-elk.  Points for deer, and the usual one in a billion chance entries for sheep, moose, and goat  :chuckle:

I am kicking myself now because i don't think toutle is worth 12 points. I put in for margaret and toutle like i have for the last 12 years, and i wish i would have put in for points for quality. I know if i draw i will have a good hunt but toutle is not worth 12 points anymore.

Also put in for whittier for bull, i don't expect to draw anything though.

I think it is great to put in for those hard to get tags. Sure you may have to wait awhile, but like the lottery no play, no win.
I encourage everyone to keep trying. So you have to wait 10 years or more. Is there some reason you want to get the permit and get it over with? If you are in your 60's, 70's or 80's there may not be so much time left, but the majority are young enough to wait.
BTW if you are on death's door, did you know there are permits for you? I think if you have only 6 months to live or something like that.

I got drawn for the Hancock Bull tag, so I put in for points only on everything.  All my time is going to be spent scouting for Elk.
