Got Drawn for Colorado!!!!!!!!
« on: May 18, 2010, 11:23:38 AM »
Called the DOW in Colorado and they said our group got drawn for archery elk.  Cant wait.  To anyone that has never hunted in Colorado you have to do it at least once.  Its the most beautiful contry in the world.

What unit did you draw for???? Grew up in Rifle CO, just curious where you are going to be. Grew up hunting units 33 and 34. Cant wait to go back one of these days.

Hopefully I can get it done.  Last year I was in the over the counter section and had a decent bull at 30 yards the very first morning and just couldn't get it done.  I ended up shooting a piss buck but it was only my second kill with a bow.  The difference in Colorado form washington is in the drainage we were hunting I saw 23 Four points deer (that is not a lie) in the basin we were hunting and at least 2 of them were monsters. There was also about 3 herds of elk in this basin The whole bow hunting thing was a bit of a different game for me because just because you see them doesn't mean nothing.  You still have to seal the deal.

Thanks Guys.  If you call the Dow and give them your CID number they will tell you if you got drawn or not.

Elk is up on line now.   I'm getting my leftover letter.   Deer is not up yet.
