Camera Prices

It seems that most of the focus is on what kind of camera should I buy or did I buy the right camera, I have probably read 100 or more articles and reviews so im a little past that point and I have all bud decided on a used Cannon. I also realize that a lot of you that have cameras probably arn't spending your time researching how much a used camera costs.

So the question is How much is a used 20D with a 18-55 Kit lens worth in good-like new condition as far as I can tell around $300 is looking pretty good but I just want to check and see if I am way off. Also I see cameras with broken cf? pins?? for around $175 and a little insight on that would also be useful. I know I will need to buy a lot more expensive lens but I just need to jump in with something if I am going to do it. Im looking at offering 250 for what is called a like new 20D with the 18-55.

Also it looks like a 30D is somewhere around $350-$450, 40D $500-600.. any insight is appreciated.

You have the price ranges pretty figured out for the cameras you mentioned.  You can find the 18-55 for around $50-60 used, in case you find a good deal on a "body only".  There are too many like new cameras to get something that needs to be repaired.  Minimum charge to send it into Canon will be $100 just for looking at it.  The broken pins I am guessing are where the memory card goes into the camera.  I don't think that would be an easy fix, but I don't know for sure.
