Tried to ge the wife another summer deer.
« on: May 22, 2010, 01:37:32 PM »
got in the stand at 1900.  1930, fox to the right for a split second then gone.  1935 geist comes out from the left. had just crossed the highway there and was looking back so i was expecting a kitz.  she hung around for awhile then the fox came out again and she barked at it and stomped accross the field to scare it off. after about 5 minutes she left. 2030 a car coming down the road starts honking and spooks a buck out of the road that popped out about 15meters to the right.  strong gobler 2-3 inches over the ears. first thing he did when he clear the brush was stair at the stand where we sat frozen. after he was satisfied he fed quickly accross the brush pil in infront of us never giving a shot even though angela was on him the whole time. when he cleared the brush pile he fed away from josh us to the salt lick where he licked for a couple minutes without presenting a shot. then he walked off into the woods never to be seen again.  angela was dissapointed to say the least.

angelface took a few pictures so maybe, if someone were bug her with a pm she might post them
