Book on edible NW native plants

I keep thinking about going and picking some mushrooms and things but do not know what ones are edible and what other native vegetation around these woods that are edible.

Does anyone know of a book that tells about Washington wetside edible plants and mushrooms?

I used to go pick wild asparagus back home in Montana. It sure was a fun way to get out with the family and enjoy the woods. A bonus was bringing home food!!

I too would like to find a guide specific to WA.  Found a shroom the other day in the woods next to my house that looked and smelled great but I could not ID it with any of my books.  Had almost a perfect half baseball sized cap, kinda scaly and gray on top with a very small diameter stem.

I had good luck hitting up the forest service office for some good books. If I can find them later I will post the titles. Buried in my hunting stuff...

Thanks Billy and Iceman. I went to Barnes and Nobles and they did not have a book just for Washington State edible plants.

I know there is a book out there, if not, who on here and write on and publish it? Don't forget I get a, I will be fair, 10% cut of the profits. Alright, just a free book and honorable mention in the book. LOL
