Olympic Peninsula Charter?
« on: June 09, 2010, 08:58:05 AM »
Anyone know of a good charter on the peninsula for Salmon or Halibut? I have some friends coming to visit me from the Midwest and I want to know who does a charter for a good price? any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Elk-aholic, if you want a guide, try Waters West Guide service or Fishingforfunguideservice, both are good and will put you on some fish. If you are looking for a charter, go with Jambo's out of Neah Bay, ask for Mike.  :twocents:

Thank you very much! I'm going to take a look at those names you gave me and give a couple of those guys a call to see what's up.

Depending on when you go halibut is closed for the year.  I would check with Top Notch Charters out of lapush salmon and bottom is awesome all summer.  If you go late in the summer think about tuna its pretty fun.  Good luck
If it aint broke, dont fix it.

When are your guests arriving?
Jim at Top Notch and Mike at Jambos are both quailty skippers out on the coast.  June 19th is going to be the last day to get halibut in areas 3/4 so you might be able to work that.

There are spring chinook in the rivers right now, as well as summer steelhead.  for those i would try Matt McCulloch at TyeeCharters.net or Mike Zavadlo.

I went with Tom from Excel Charters a few weeks ago at Neah Bay.  Real nice guy and he works hard to get you your fish.
