Pic by my screenname question

Didn't know where to post this, but the picture I tried to put by my screenname or whatever shows up as a red x. I haven't cared until now that I don't have homework every waking minute. Do I need to resize or change pics or what?  :dunno:Thanks.

You could just change your screen name to RED X?

What I have done is saved the pic I want for my avtar as a .gif file and saved it into an album folder here on hunting-washington.com then in my profile I just click the circle that says I'll upload my own picture, then navigate (browse) to that saved .gif file and add it in there and it gets changed to a .png file and shows up !!
