Concealed Carry In Summer
« on: June 26, 2010, 02:05:29 PM »
I was just wondering how people carry in summer without being noticed? When the sun comes out I'm a cargo shorts and tank top kind of guy and I can't have a shoulder harness. I have a compact pistol but I'm pretty toned an I don't wear extremely baggy clothes so even an "in the pants holster" is easy to see. I know I'm going to get crap for this but when I'm not chambered I usually carry in my belt holsterless, "like a thug" as some people here seem to believe. A good friend of of mine as well as my cousin who were undercover officers at one time said it was common practice to carry in the belt on the front or in the small of their back and I imagine they were chambered. While I'm hunting I have a standard hip holster "just in case". Any suggestions?

In the pants or in a fanny pack in hot weather. Or tucked in ghetto style. ( With a good belt of course)

dude...rock the fanny pack!!

I saw a pistol holder in the cabelas catalog that was designed to hold a little pistol like a Ruger LCP that looked like a cell phone holster.

Since cell phone belt holsters look about as cool as a fanny pack  :chuckle:

I can't stand when people carry phones like that.....it is however a pretty niffty holster!

I never new they had them.... but I like it, and I'll have to get an LCP to go with it.

If I manage to remember where  I'll post a link. I saw some button up shirts that have mesh pockets built into them just in front and below the armpit, with elastic to keep them from sagging.  Put your wallet/keys in the other and no one would notice...

depends on what your carrying but you may be able to use a pocket holster or and IWB tucked into the cargo pocket on your cargo shorts

As long as you put your fanny pack on the hip or backside, it's not GAY. NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER ON THE FRONT.
