Or is it Packwood? Either way thinking I'll probably go out at least one day if not all three.

I'm hoping to go on Saturday. Several of my good friends are going and if I didn't have an obligation to fulfill on Sunday I would go for the entire weekend. It is a great place to shoot.
I'd just like to remind everybody that it's about the hunting, not just the killing. In other words, it's about the total experience, the sport itself and the challenge involved. Bowhunting, done right, is a justifiable and honorable pursuit. Done for the wrong reasons, simply chalking up kills and seeking personal glory, it's taking away rather than giving back to a principled way of life that has to be experienced to be understood. Anyone know where the Baker Ranch is in Packwood? Haven't found many details about the shoot. Emailed them about times and they said to just show up whenever  :dunno:

I stopped by briefly - I think that there were 23 targets but you could shoot as many times as you wanted.  I shot several arrows at each target and tried to challenge myself by finding interesting places to shoot from through the brush, sitting on my butt, on my knees, etc.

I missed the flying object flu flu shoot but I shoot a compound and wouldn't have shot anyway.  I would've liked to see it, though.

I did shoot the long shot (110 yards) at an elk target.  Burned $4 on that but it was really fun to shoot at it.

By the way, that was the first WSB event that I'd been to.  A lot of guys were trad shooters but super cool people and didn't hold my training wheels against me  :tung: .  I spent the second half of the day scouting out some areas that I'll hunt this coming year, but I sort of wish I would've stayed to have dinner with them.  Nice guys.
