Little help for a new area
« on: July 02, 2010, 09:09:25 PM »
I've been hunting the 328 since 1990 and alot has changed over the years.  After a real depressing year last season....weather mostly.  I've been thinking about checking out south of the 90 between cle elum and ellensburg.  However I don't know it.  I busted up my truck 2 years ago up swift creek and had to spend 3 days in EB while it was getting fixed.  Talked to a chiropractor that is my wifes boss' brother in law and he mentioned peaches ridge.  looking at the posts it looks to be a draw hunt.  bought a map from the ranger station today so it should be here next week, guessing it borders the manashtash?  Can someone point me in a general direction...if there are elk I will find them.  Also if any of the 2 that got pulled for the 328 are here we could swap info....I know where all the big bulls are there...it just seems I can never draw it.  I hooked up with 3 brothers back in the 90's who've been hunting there since the 70's and learned alot about the area.

Welcome to the site, might I recomend going to the intro section and posting a little bit about yourself before asking for advise and or help with your area  :hello:

Ydeah, newbees asking for info with out introducing them selfves and offering a bit to the forum don't get much but hassell.

My advise, is to share a bit and become part of the community before asking for help, poeple will be more forthcoming with info after you posted a bit.

Welcome to the site Br8kitoff. It is encouraging to see all the members sharing tips about the site and how things sort of work around here. Good luck on your search for info and possibly hooking up with a few members to share what you know...

Anybody know if the gravel road FS4510 that comes off woods and steele gets gated during archery?  Looks like there is a gate just below Hicks Butte.  Want to scout it!  Also was wondering what the pressure was like there?  Many in the woods or do you see most just off the roads?

I would avoid that area on weekends finding a place to park is a joke, the gate is locked and unless they are logging in remains locked at all times.
