Big area with some dandy whitetails.  Several GMUs.  Tends to be better toward the end of the season.  Good Luck!

I think the amount of tags reflects the fact that it is almost entirely private property.  If you have a place to hunt, I think they want you to have a good chance of drawing a tag.  The farmers want them thinned out a bit as well...

Yeah horrible tag!!! All the big whiteys are in the northeast corner of the state.   Mostly private ground but you might get lucky if you ask some farmers in the summer and not right before the hunt starts.    Good luck.

I run across quite a few big whitey's during late season while down in that country Pheasant hunting.  Seems the population is exploding down there for sure.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

This is a huge area for 750 tags, also gotta think how many people will end their season in the early hunt or how many of the tag holders live a long ways away.like many have said it's mostly private, 127 is almost entirely private and most do not give permission, the more south u get and find the farms they are more likely to give permission

I have had the tag twice, it's a great tag if you have permission to hunt private land. As it has been said before most of the units in the hunt are private land. some people will give permission, but it is not easy to find them. good luck
WDWF needs to get a clue before it's to late!!!
