Picked up my new baitcasting combo today (also bought a new spinning combo from Cabela's since they had some great deals going and saved $80 off the normal prices), put 15# line on it and played with the reel setting for about 10 seconds then put 1/2oz weight on the line and tossed it in the grassy back yard about five yards. Perfect, easy, no problem. Did 10, 20 yards... cake. Could use even less weight than that and am sure it would cast just fine. Doubt I will have any issues casting anything with this.

Thanks for the info

Spinning combo is set up with 10# and will be for steel in the rivers. This one will be for salmon in rivers.

the "C" series and morrum reels(you have to get them off ebay, not sold in the US any more) are all still made in sweden.  you have to watch out for the chinese knockoffs(the BCX reels mostly), they're pieces of crap.  the revos are another story altogether(and they're made in korea to my knowledge)
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun
