OPEN TO RETRIEVERS AND VERSATILE GUN DOG BREEDS
This hunt is held under the rules of the Hunting Retriever Club, Inc. and United Kennel Club, Inc.
No Hunting Retriever may compete in 2 different categories per licensed hunt.
8 dog limit per handler.

Burlington Ranch, Inc Presents Summer Super Single July 24th-25th, 2010

Saturday will consist of 5 Single Water/Land Retrieves. Dogs will be scored based on each retrieve per series up to ten (10) points for each retrieve per judge, totaling a max of 20 pts per retrieve. At the conclusion of each retrieve, the score will be posted. Sunday will consist of 5 Single Water/Land Retrieves to conclude the event and designate the Winner.

Start time: 7:30 am sharp.

Placement trophies will be awarded based on First, Second, Third.

Cost:
• $35.00 per dog online entries. $40.00 mail in. $45.00 day of the event.
• Fresh ducks will be used.
• Please get your entries in NLT: JULY 16th. Mail in or online at www.huntsecretary.com – click on “special event calendar”

Open to all dogs, LIMITED TO 25 DOGS PER FLIGHT – LIMIT TWO DOGS PER HANDLER. A SECOND FLIGHT OPTION – BASED ON ENTRIES, Flights maybe combined on Sunday.


Scoring Criteria: Point of release to point of return, hunt test format. Points will be awarded based on trainability and marking. Dogs will be released on “Dog”. Dogs that require a “handle” to the bird will receive a score no higher than 3 points per judge. Half point scores can/will be used, i.e. 7.5. Dogs that display poor marking, poor handling, and work out of the area of the fall, may be picked up at the discretion of the judges. A “zero” will be scored for that series.

From the South:
From Spokane, take Hwy 395 (Division Street exit). Go North for 45 miles. Three (3) miles before the town of Chewelah, turn left on Farm to Market Road. Go 1 mile, turn right onto Heine Road. Go ½ mile, Burlington Ranch will be on the left.

From the North:
Take Hwy 395 South from the town of Colville, go 21 miles. Go past the town of Chewelah, after another 2 miles turn right onto Quarry Browns Lake Road. Go 1 mile then turn left onto Heine Road. Go ¼ mile, Burlington Ranch will be on the right.

Sounds like a blast. Might need to see if I can get over there again. Spent the weekend in KF and Colville.
