The state record book has a bunch "backyard bucks" registered in it.  :chuckle:

I was born in Lakewood, also played ball at the old TCC field near the park, had deer walking around the outfield pretty regular.

There is a BIG blacktail buck that lives in the woods at the top of 277th hill just up from the Valley Drive In's. I've seen him for the last three years a few times. I never have my camera with me when I see him though. :bash:. He will make state book NO PROBLEMO!! He is a dandy. He has it all, highth, width and MASS.

I don't live in the city, but there are some smashers around my area. I caught one crossing the road down the street from my house the other morning at about 4:15  that I honestly think is pushing well over 140. Hog blacktail. I plan on setting up the TC this week in hopes of getting some good pics.

In just the last few weeks I have seen, Does and young Bucks, 2pt, one at a time to groups of 5 in Totem Lake/Kirkland, On I405 In Bothell, On I5 while exiting to 526/527, around Nintendo on Redmond ridge, West Lake Samm. Pkwy going in and out of Marymoor Park, along 202 going to Woodinville from Redmond...I regularly see coyotes in the same places too...

Since June I have seen more Deer in paved parking lots than I have all summer out in the woods looking for them.. :bash:

If there is a bass in it I will catch it.

Right by the railroad tracks just East of HWY 9 on 180th, in Clearview. And the other day just off HWY 2 in Monroe...

I've lived near Issaquah since '85 and there were a few then but now there are several that hang out in town. Cars and people don't bother them at all. You have to watch out for them at times. They just walk out right in front of traffic. I love seeing them.

I did a pipeline job in Redmond Wa.  We seen several nice bucks on the right of way, right in peoples front yards.  And if anyone can figure out how to hunt him there is a monster 5x5 that hangs out off of Echo Lake rd. almost to Monroe that would make it into the books.  He isn't worried about people at all and just cruises from backyard to backyard.  My buddy sees him on the security cameras regularly.  I will post a picture if he sends it to me.  All private property so its extremely difficult to hunt.  I've never seen a buck that had that much of a dip in his back.  He'll probably die of old age eating someones roses.

One of the largest deer I've seen in New England lived in the woods surrounded by an on-ramp to the Massachusetts Turnpike. Nobody could hunt him there.......

The largest deer I've seen in WA was at the off ramp for I-5 near Bonneville Power in Vancouver; a good solid 5 x 5 standing in the middle of HWY 99 heading into Hazel Dell. He was probably trying to read all of the political signs to see who to vote for.....  Nothing about animal PAC's.  Nobody else believed me until a coworker finally acknowledged he had seen a doe in that area......

It's as if they know where they are safe.

Highway 16 and Jackson st. west bound side is a GIANT blacktail. Have heard more than one guy talk about him. It's an evening show.

Tonight my Daughter and I saw a doe with two fawns in Kenmoore across from Bright water on 80th. I saw a deer just up the hill two years ago . pretty cool to see them so close, wonder where daddy  is. How close to town have you guys seen deer?

Someone told me about deer in St. Edwards State Park in Kenmore. I didn't really believe him, until I found deer tracks there.

Here in NE WA, I have to keep everything fenced because of the deer.
