there is some building foam out there that is great if you put a few of them back to back the stuff i have is blue i use it to rebuild my older block style targets but i think they are 4x8 so a couple of them back to back will work good for ya i am sure.

Dock foam works great and occasionally a guy will find it floating in the sea for free.

I'd just like to remind everybody that it's about the hunting, not just the killing. In other words, it's about the total experience, the sport itself and the challenge involved. Bowhunting, done right, is a justifiable and honorable pursuit. Done for the wrong reasons, simply chalking up kills and seeking personal glory, it's taking away rather than giving back to a principled way of life that has to be experienced to be understood. Stuff burlap sacks full of old plastic wrap materials. Tarps, bags, thick mill plastic (like for ponds) All of that kind of stuff. You might even be able to find old tarps and such at a junk yard.

straw works ok backed with carpet. if the carpet is very close to the back of the straw then you dont have to worrk about flect damage unless you shoot a very short arrow
