Nikon Monarch question
« on: July 21, 2010, 10:53:37 PM »
So I am getting ready to buy a new deer rifle and I have a 5-20X44AO Monarch that I am going to put on it. If I get into longer range shooting and want to mess around with the turrets can I get the right ones for my caliber/twist/and other specs for my specific gun? Anyone had any experience ordering them through Nikon for their gun. My scope came with 3 sets of turrets but I would imagine that they are generic. I want turrets set for my gun. Is this possible with the monarch?
Thanks

I think this might be what your looking for

www.kentonindustries.com

click on "yardage formats"

I think that will show you an example of what your turrets for a nikon will look like it also looks like they can make them for factory loads and hand loads.

You try contacting Nikon?

Not yet. I will though. Just thought I would feel out what others have done. I have the 1/4 and 1/8 tactical turrets that came with it. I just wondered if anyone had experience with custom specific for your gun like Leupold.

Thanks

Work up a drop chart.  :dunno:  :mgun2:

Thats the plan. I will then have someone etch my turrets for the ranges for quick reference.

Print a drop chart and stick it on your gun for quick reference. ;)
