Montana Surplus Tags
« on: August 18, 2010, 12:41:03 PM »
Montana Surplus Tags came available August 9th.  Anyone buy one or a few?? You could purchase up to 7 "B" tags.  I think there are some still available but they were selling out fast last time I looked.

I bought 1 WhiteTail Doe tag and 1 Mule Deer Doe tag to go along with my Buck tag.  The goal is to take one with my rifle, one with my muzzleloader, and one with my bow.  I've yet to kill anything with my muzzleloader besides paper and getting my new Bow dialed in now so I can hopefully take my first archery deer this November.  Headed over to my family's ranch Nov. 5th-15th.  I love the sun and summer but fall can't get here soon enough!!

If you're going all the way out there you should of just put in for an antelope tag too. Pretty much a sure thing for most areas. Then you can get a surplus tag on that too and really get busy.

Been thinking about getting an Antelope tag for years now but the seasons don't overlap when I want to be there.. I believe Antelope ends about the 3rd week of Oct. which is when Deer opens.  I could do it but wouldn't be there in Mid-Nov. for the rut which is amazing.
