I am completely new to elk hunting and want to learn the ropes. I am unable to shoot a bow and am in the process of applying for my crossbow permit. I doubt I'll get it in time for this year though. I would love to help an experienced elk archery hunter hunting in GMU 673 this year. I would only be available weekends though. All my vacation is going towards taking my son to get his first deer this year. I'd like to take one of my sons elk scouting just to get some pictures in this GMU, but again, I don't know the first thing about it. If you can help train me, I would be very grateful and, if you bag an elk while I'm with you, I would be more than willing to help you pack it out.
