Don't know.  I guess when you think of goats, you don't think of them hanging out in the timber.  But, evidently they do...

It's at least 2 miles to the nearest goat hang out.  It looks like a family vacation to me.  :dunno:

Here is a spot about a half mile from where the goats were.  I set this spot up for a recurve friend of mine.  He has neve gotten an elk before.  He isn''t the type to sit and wait tho.  Check out the ear piercing in the one cow.
