How far from Omak are you willing to travel?

Tons of public land just a little west. East and southeast is all tribal land.

If you go north on 97 about 15 miles you will come to South Pine Creek Rd.  Take a left there and go about 10 miles and you will come to the Sinlahekin Wildlife Area.  This is open to hunting and it borders the Pasayten Wilderness.  There may be a lot of hunters.  Also, you can go to Concanelly (sp).  If you drive past (I think going north) you will end up in the Pasayten Wilderness eventually.  Great place to hunt big Mulies.  Good luck.  I live in Tonasket so am somewhat familiar.  Tonasket is about 25 mi. north of Omak on 97.  Good luck.
