Where else do you get pictures like this?

And of course the thrill of the hunt!

I can't agree or disagree with those two reasons as they are only red X's to me

The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

Nice pictures, looks like your up around Baker.  I love to hunt the high country for bear, theres not a more beautiful place.  Checked out your web page pictures, you have some nice shots, keep posting them.  Do you ever do any high lake fishing?

Haven't done much yet, but I'd love to do more of it this year.

Sweet pics. Looks like a good area. What happened to the bears front leg?

LOL, that's what happen when two people shoot simultaneously from 6 yards away with .270 Win.'s.  We both had the same entry point, just came out at opposite angles, quite an exit wound to be sure.  As a matter of fact, when we opened up the chest cavity, the heart literally rolled right out of the bear and down the hill.  We shot off both arteries connecting to the heart.  I'll tell you one thing for sure, that bear did not make it very far!

Nice pics, however I could not limit my reasons for liking bear hunting to any particular scenery, altitude, weather, etc. In fact, I am not sure there is a describable reason. I just flat out like being out there.
Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.
