Witnessed a grizzly attack.....Sort of.
« on: August 29, 2010, 08:20:41 AM »
The images of this event have haunted me all night, so maybe if I tell the story they will go away.
Yesterday I took my two sons to the sporting goods store to get the oldest soccer cleats, on the way back home they said they wanted to stop and see the bears. So we pull into the parking lot, get out and walk over to look at two bears that are in the yard, the oldest hears a noise coming from the cages,
" What's that dad " he says, so we go look. We come to a cage with the door open and there is a big male sitting on his butt in the corner with his back against the wall, He has his paws on his belly and is slobberring all over while licking the cage between him and another bear. The whole time he is making a moaning/purring noise. Then it hits, " Dad what does that bear have in it's hand " Umm, Uhh, Um looks like a stick son. Then the bear puts its head down and puts its mouth around the stick. " Dad, what is that bear doing " Umm, Uhh I'm not sure son. I stand there for a few moments in total disbelief of what is going on, but yes this is happenning, lick the cage, stroke, stroke, mouth around the stick. I talk the kids into going to watch the other bears and we do. A few moments later the noises stopped and I went back to check, there lies this bear all sprauled out on the floor of cage sound asleep (mission accomplished, somewhat).

So for those that like to ask " Does a bear crap in the woods " I don't know because I have never witnessed it but I do know that  A bear in a cage will masturbate.

Tell the boys he was just making some bear jerky!
The only difference between a butt kisser and a brown noser is depth perception.

Well, I've been "lucky" enough to see a walrus do the same thing a Pt. Defiance, and don't even get me started on the baboons at the Frankfurt Zoo....
Of sorrow and sickness I've known on my way,
But I'm old and I'm nervis,
I'm cast from the Service,
And all I deserve is a shillin' a day.

spend enough time around animals you will see pretty much all of them engage in this eventually.....watching ducks commit gang rape is also pretty nifty...NOT

Or listen to 10 or more male raccoons and one female 100 ft up a fir tree in our backyard yawling all night long  :yike:

Noisy suckers
Only 2 defining forces sacrificed themselves for you:
The American Soldier and Jesus Christ. One died for your freedom, the other for your soul.

My rock,
He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.
Psalm 144.1
