margaret question

does anyone no if I can drive down the 2500 road orthe 3100 road? Also is the road that follows the north border along the green river open if so how do i get on it thanks for any help!!!!!!! ;)any information will help in my scouting trip this weekend!

You wont be able to drive the 2500 or the 3100.Not sure which road id the north border.But thinking its one of the FS roads out of Randle.25 rd maybe.You should be able to drive it.

FR 26 road the east boundry. Havent seen much up this way this year. Seems like the elk are taking there time moving in. PM me if you want more info.

thanks for the info. I did see some elk down low few weeks ago two 5 points (small)four point spike and several cows and calves about 15 in the herd. ;)

that north boarder  road  is  accessed through  randle. go to the ryan lake  horse camp and the headwaters of the green river.
you cant eat the horns, but backstraps look like crap on my wall!!!!

You can also try dumping in off the 1100 line out of the Winston Creek unit.  You may be able to get access ( to the 1100) through the 1900 line by Kid Valley.  I believe it's going to dump you onto the 2500 line, just further in. That would be the Western part of the North border, with the 26 Rd from Ryan Lake being the Eastern part of the North Border.

thanks for the help! seen some more elk in there on friday the 3rd( 4 bulls and4 cows) the bulls are getting fired up thats for sure. Bow hunters are starting to file in. Oct. 2 cant come soon enough just a cow tag but Im stoked thats for sure!    :)

1900 line in Kid Valley should be open weekends come rifle season and is for day use only. The gate is manned by volunteers. Could also be open earlier you would have to check with weyco. Good luck!
