Archery whitetail buck down outside of Pomeroy??
« on: September 06, 2010, 11:42:11 AM »
Just heard a nice big 5x5 whitetail was killed outside Pomeroy on Alpowa Ridge in the last couple days.  Anybody know anything about this buck? I'd like to see pics of him on the ground.

Any info would be awesome.
Thanks

A group of buddies have been there since opener, one of them got drawn for the big bull. I have not heard from them yet, but I am sure they know of it. They live and breathe the area.

I believe that is the one, sorry I might sound ignorant on the area. I hunted down there with them about 10 years ago for about 3 years or so then everyone wanted a piece of the action and I decided not to add to the crowd, actually that is when I almost gave up on hunting all together. Been trying to get myself back into it over the last few years, but I still find myself in a bit of a funk. Anyway, my buddy got drawn the first year for archery and got a great bull. I had posted pictures of it.

I seen two nice shooters sat. night on sweeney by where the elk were a couple weekes ago ( jackelope you know where I speak of) they were running together easy targets right off the road and not scared at all! I forgot my cam sorry ( one of them was almost as big as the one that ToddID had on his trail cam.
