The New Escort Deads A Dog!
« on: September 08, 2010, 10:28:49 AM »
Another new gun - another dead coyote!! :guns:  :chuckle:

Me & FC went out to my Granite Falls falls honey hole and deaded a dog with my new Escort 12ga! It was cool, first round ever shot thru it and I take down a yote! I'm loving it!  :IBCOOL:

And I can get used to this shotgun thing for sure! I just pointed it in the general vincity of her and pulled the trigger - BAM dead doggie... heheheh OK - it was only, whadda ya say FC - about 15 yards away.....? but it was still cool!

This little witch was sitting in the bushes listening to me for 45min before she finally came out. I called with the PowerDogg with a couple howls/barks, then pup yips, then jack rabbit for awhile, then finally with cottontail before she came out. (I dont like the cottontail call on the PowerDogg but I guess what do I know?) I think she was the one I missed a few months ago out there, she came out from the same place as before. But she still couldnt resist ol Thumper!

I was starting to get discouraged thinking we werent gonna get a dog - after I talked it all up to FC saying I get them out there all the time and usually within 10min!   But I was sitting in the tall grass looking down, playing with the call remote and didnt see her sneak out. So then I looked up not knowing she was there and saw her staring at ol Thumper my rabbit decoy and then she saw me move and stared right at me. I stayed real still but she still spooked and turned to trot away so I looked over at FC to see if he was gonna shoot her but he says didnt see her. ( I still think it was cuz he was laid back against a stump SLEEPING!!)  :chuckle: So I raised up the shotgun and BLAM down she went! I shot in a hurry and dont even remember aiming but the 4 buck found its mark!

So now I LOVE SHOTGUNS!  :chuckle:

Bye bye little coyote! She actually did have a pretty nice little coat on her too...

Looks to have a pretty good hide on him for this time of year.  Congrats!
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.

The hide was surprisingly good, a few months and it would have been pretty nice.

LOL...I wasn't sleeping or you would have heard me snoring! My woman keeps threatening to stuff Cheetos up my nose  :bdid: :bdid: :bdid:

That buckshot sure did the trick! It was BOOM and I look over and see the tail doing the death wiggle..lol that always gets me too...
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.
