Wildview IR trail cam??
« on: September 15, 2010, 05:09:51 PM »
I am looking for any one with experience with the Wildview IR cam.   Would like any positive or negative experiences with this cam.   I am considering purchasing one, but have no experience with trail cams at all, so any info will be appreciated.

I have 4 or had 4 now have 3 of the cheep flash type from Cabellas 2 for $100OR SOMETHING.. They work for telling you how big when and where the deer are... not the highest quality pics tho... I had one stole due to the flash i'm guessing... but i'm only out like 65 bucks with SD card and batteries.... u can buy multiple for the cost of a good one.... If you have "the spot" and just want to know who is showing up buy a better camera... if you are locating deer... probably a best bang for buck...

Don't have one but.... if it is anything like their range finders, it will be garbage.  Had 2 of their range finders and neither of them worked right.  :twocents: i suggest spending a few bucks more on something proven.  Wildveiew is still trying to make a name for themselves.  Good luck whichever way you decide to go.

Thanks for all the input.   I did some looking around and decided on a Primos Truth Cam 35.   Price wise, it came in right at halfway betwen the Wildview flash and the Wildview IR.   Tested it in complete darkness with a mounted bobcat of mine and the pics turned out pretty good.   Will be putting it out over my next set of days off, so if I get anything I will be posting some pics in a couple weeks.

Again, thanks for all the help.
