I live in 667. The deer and elk are so spooked by the end of modern rifle that it is hard to get within sight of them let alone 100 yards or less.  My suggestion is to plan on going waaaaaay back in.  There are quite a few elk but they are spooky and in the deep timber.  There will be other hunters but nothing like during the pumpkin patch modern deer.  Good luck.

Tried coming in from the Alder Lake/ east side a couple of years ago - too much snow to get into where the elk where. 
May that for which I prepare never come to pass.

the best advice for the skook....hunt someplace else....lots of people in there and has a low success rate for archery.
I live in the unit and don't even hunt here.  Too many yayhoos shooting at everything that moves.

be carefull while in the woods its  loaded with criters and loaded with hunters.
