Chehalis River report?
« on: September 21, 2010, 11:19:56 AM »
Has anyone been down to the lower Chehalis yet, or heard of any fish being caught? I would assume kings are in good and silvers soon. I'm itching to get out there.

I fished it sunday and saw only one silver caught. Everyone I talked to seemed to have a couple king hook ups but of course its closed. We C&r'd two nice kings... one REAL hawg taped at 43"  I might be down again tomorrow but if not this weekend. Ill keep it updated if i can. Hopefully there will be a push of coho pretty soon

Nothing as of yesterday............dead.  Been monitoring it on another board, and daily updates since the opener is ....as I already said............dead.  Went down twice last week driving around....yep....dead.  Oops I already said that.

Should be soon though.......undead that is.   :chuckle:

pretty slow still, but better than last week from what i've heard.

i fished from around 6:15-7:30 this evening, not much going on other than some big rollers out by the mouth of the hoquiam :yike:

Hey Buckhorn...was your rig (truck) in the John's River parking lot by itself early?  Stopped there and only saw one vehicle and trailer about 9:45 a.m.  On the way back from Westport saw one additional rig.  Looks like game on....Saw fish caught at Aberdeen...about 60 boats in and around 28th street launch.  Saw about 50-60 people fishing from the bank behind Wally World and east along the river in the small park.

I fished the Chehalis on Friday near Cosmopolis, no bites and didnt seem to be many fish in the river.  We were trolling cut plug.  Saw one guy catch one off the bank, other than that pretty slow.  Anyone else doing any good?   :dunno: Id like to get into some fish

maybe up toward the hatchery but the lower river has been deader than dead :bash:

how many drift boat dumbazzes were corked up under that maple tree?  it isn't like they have the whole rest of the river to fish...
