That is really a nice looking pelt.  Excellent shooting I might add.  Doesn't surprise me a bit that you can hit one at that distance.

Nice job Kain on the dog and the video.   :)

The wife and I went out again last night with the night vision and spotlights, saw nothing, but could hear a gazillion coyotes singin' to the stars about 3 miles away in all directions. So we just spent a couple of hours gazing at the starlit sky and watching satellites. It was pretty cool.
Checkin' wind and makin' smoke.
That's how I roll...

I really want to make a comment about it being cold.....  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I took a guest out yesterday, Ol Dan, he wanted to get the skunk off his new savage 243 Win. On the third call of the day, this male yote tried to seek out, didn't make it, I ranged it and Ol Dan dropped him like a sack of spuds, 457 yds right in the head. :IBCOOL: The rest of the day was a bust.

Went out today with Ol Dan again. Tough day, had one come in and lay down at 584 yds and just watch us for 10 min's.  >:( Finally I couldn't take any longer, so I laid down to take a shot. In the meantime he got up and walked up the hill, now his 608 yds, what the h*ll, put the third plex on the top of his shoulder. Ol Dan said you hit him, after spinning and flopping around for about a minute and four rounds later, he made it around the hill, not to be found.  :bash: :bash: 2 inches low from a dead yote, next time. :)
