Coyote hunters wanted in Graham.
« on: September 23, 2010, 05:32:09 PM »
I have a brother that lives in Graham on 20 acres and has a pack of yotes that keep attacking and killing his goats  :bdid:

He placed an add on Craigs List but keep getting flagged. He is looking for someone to come out and shoot some yotes, and will pay $25 per yote you take. I was out there the other night and found  a old tree stand in a tree. The area is over grown with black berries and i plan on getting the Cat out and clearing out the bushes and and a few small trees to make the view better. There is enough area to sit in small areas to hunt until i get the tree stand rebuilt. I will be heading over this weekend to get most of the work done. I was going to start today but it has been raining all day out there and every thing is soggy and wet and turning to mud so i will start either tomorrow afternoon or Saturday.

His add on Craigslist was posted with a $25 charge to hunt but will pay you for every yote you kill but if you mention i sent you he will not charge you to hunt.

The yotes have been see all times of day but seems to be seen and heard at dark, up to 9pm the most. His daughter was out back on the property the other night as it was getting dark and called my brother on his cell as she and her friend were running back to the house, as the the yotes were just on the other side of the brush yipping. He believes there is a whole pack living some where near by and estimates about 12+ yotes in the area. There is a 80 acre cattle farm behind his place on the other side of the RR tracks and we believe the yotes are using the RR tracks to move from place to place cause that's the area he hears them yipping from the most.

PM me if you are interested and want his number ( he's not to far from Rasbo's place  ;) )

I will be out there hunting as soon as i get the chance but am getting ready for WY and don't have much time right now.

Since when were coyote's considered a protective species, especially since you can kill'em year round :dunno:

I would be tempted to contact law enforcement and let them know someone is posing as an officer for fish and game.

I would turn them in to WDFW for impersonating an officer. Shows how dumb they were to leave a phone number. Did you bother to call it?

The email is BS, and he is looking for people to hunt the yotes.

I should be out there to day to clear an area.

Gasman, you should set up a good stand, and then a sign up sheet and get a bunch of guys to sit on that area each night until your problem is gone...  One hunter a night, that is all we ask...  :chuckle:

Gas I might give it a go, but it would have to be weekends as I am now working in Everett. I think I might even have a goat distress for one of my calls. I will have to check.

Got a nice area cleared of the black berry bushes today and had a blast driving the Cat  :chuckle:

Took a walk out back along the RR tracks before i left and saw a fresh pile of bear scat  that was not there two days ago. There have been feasting on someone's apple tree.

wow people can be stupid, impersonating an officer and making up false laws and all wew.

This is a tempting proposal indeed as i live in the same neck of the woods and my crazy scheduale doesnt allow me to get out too much..or at least as much as i would like.

I'm an old retired guy up in Auburn WA.  Mostly I hunt Coyotes in the winter in AZ, but I do some here in eastern WA.  I am just up the road and do have a nice little 17 Remington to take care of things.  I would be very happy to stop by from time to time during the week to do a little calling.  I've got plenty of time that is for sure.  Larry

Too bad this didn't happen about a month ago. Was in Olympia most of august and first week in sep. doing a remodel for the in-laws. I sure could have used a break to go try and kill me a 'yote. :tung:

I'm sure he has a ton of coyotes out there, they have been strong since I lived out there in the 70s and 80s.
And with more people bringing more food for them (cats small dogs chickens goats) they must be thriving.
Plenty of room for a rifle or is that shotgun only there now?
