The high buck hunt is a rilfe and muzzleloader hunt that runs from September 15 to 25.  It takes place in several Wilderness areas throughout Washington.  I can't name all of them off the top of my head, but there are several on the West Side, and several on the East side.  Two of the most common ones are the Pasayton Wilderness, and the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.
I would rather be a conservative nut job, than a liberal with no nuts, and no job!

The High Hunt is really an opportunity to treasure here in Washington. It's an opportunity to get up into the summer range and hunt the big migratory bucks living up there. Often very challenging physically, and often the success rate is low, but it's my favorite hunt.
