I shot a Mk V Syn/Stainless .300WBY for years. Shoot it first. If it's accurate and in good shape,then $500 is good. Buy a set of dies and reload. Mine liked 83 1/2 grains of IMR7828 behind 180GR  Nosler partitions. You'll get about 3100fps with that recipe. Good luck and keep us posted if you do buy it.
