XD 40 holster
« on: October 04, 2010, 08:39:44 PM »
The one that comes with it is pretty uncomfortable which is why I don't carry it that often.  Needing something a little better and a little less obvious.  Was thinking they might make a neoprene paddle for the compact?

The Blackhawk Serpa is a good holster, that's what I use. It keeps the gun very secure, yet still very fast to deploy. Good stuff
Checkin' wind and makin' smoke.
That's how I roll...

Anybody have any experience with wear on the gun?  I was checking reviews for the serpa and that was mentioned.  Do they make a neoprene?  Either way, probably going to be ordering one.

Anybody have any experience with wear on the gun?

I carried my XD(m) for most of a year in a crossbreed Supertuck (IWB) and the pistol's finish shows only slight wear, I did wipe down the pistol and holster daily though so it was kept very clean, I also did at least a de-lint cleaning 1-2x a week whether I shot it or not. Keeping the holster and gun both clean is huge for finish life, my little airweight looks like hell now just from pocket lint in the holster...lol
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.
