Great Bull.  Glad it worked out for you guys.  Was it a special tag?  It may been in another thread or soemthing but I didn't see it in here and since you saw so many and only took one I was figuring..

ya it was a special permit sorry dude thats all i can say about it..Its not really my place to say since it wasnt my tag & my old man isnt a computer guy to tell his tale... But I will tell you this, it was a pretty magical place!...  :chuckle: My Bro "Skuckumhtr" may chime in and tell a little bit of his experience being apart of the hunt..

hey what's up brandon, I hate to say it but I'm dam near exausted from elk huntin..haha I've spent 17 days out of the last 30 huntin 2 different states.. I went to Oregon and hunted the caps for 9 days & that was the most physical hunt I've ever been on, it snowed on us and rained & & then got hot so we had it all but we hit the rut a little early.. we worked bulls everyday and had one giant close but he winded me & the last day of our hunt It was my turn to be the caller and we had 2 giants come close to my partner but the wind was swirling and the same *censored*.. then went to work for a few days then went and called for my dads hunt and WoW we hit it just right.. it was bugle mania.. so I've been in elk heaven for the last month, but dam brother I'm pooped.. and we burn all are vacation for the hardest work there is.. lol got to love it! Flippin chasin elk!

Congrats.  I know what ya mean about the ol man and the rut thing.  Dad had a muzzleloader permit last year and it was funny to watch him with the bulls bugling. He's been a rifle hunter all his life. The first one wasn't even a big deal at all to him.  I'm like what are you doing man.  After the first close call his eyes showed pure excitement every time one sounded off:)  Good times.
