Yes, Rio Frito is open year round. There are also a couple more ponds that I can't remember the name of right now, but there is one right before you enter the canyon and another that is right off i-90 past the best western and subway. I think they were just recently stock in the past few weeks, so the fishing should still be good. You can look it up on the WDFW website. I am not sure if anyone is better than the other, but if they aren't hitting on either of the ponds on the rio frito you should try some of the other ponds that are a short drive away.
