Dad (Gobble Doc), and I went hunting in E. Washington yesterday, and I nailed my first wild bird!

It is a Gray Partridge, and I dropped it with one shot. It was quite windy, and there was thick fog. I flushed the bird a first time, and it flew with three others. However, they startled me, so shot but missed. Then, when I saw where they landed, I flanked them, and flushed them the second time. This was when I got my shot. I immediatly ran uphill from the downed bird, and then started walking down towards it. I found it exactally where I had shot it. I have no dog, so I am excited that I can do upland hunting without a dog.
