went out tonight and found this geist mit kitz before it got dark.  Popped the kitz(supposed to shoot the kitz first), and usually the momma runs off then comes back a few minutes later looking for the kitz but this one just watched it go down wondering what was going on. Then she got hers behind the shoulder and dropped. I figured i had screwed up and hit her in the spine but when i walked up behind her she picker her head up and had to be put down pretty quick. 

I think that's 7 for me for this year and only a few days left of buck season.

its some loden wool. since we are usually in a lumber high seat like this one it makes for a quiet rest when your trying to get on the animal fairly quickly. i guess it saves the stock too.

these specific animals go straight to the forst department who sells it as they please. the big one was probably about 18-19 kilos after the gut though and the little one was probably only 8 or 9.  there are a few good steaks to be had and lots of gulash.

No bag limits but there are minimums that must be met

when she picked up her head i was behind her. it entered the back of the neck just below the head and probably came out at the lower jaw.
